Infection Control Consultant

InCo and Associates, an Infection Control Consulting firm formed in 1994, is owned by Linda L. Spaulding, and registered in Honolulu, Hawaii. The owner holds a degree in nursing, is certified in Infection Control through the Association of Infection Control Practitioners (APIC) and holds a Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing through the American Nursing Association (ANA).
Linda has experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing, Geriatrics, and Intensive Care. She has worked on many outbreak investigations involving Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus (VRE), Methlicillin Resistant Staphylococcus (MRSA), Hemodialysis, Influenza and Scabies. She has provided many presentations for the community and other healthcare facilities on various infection control topics. Linda provides consulting services to hospitals, nursing homes, home care agencies, prisons and other local industries and community based groups.
As a healthcare consultant she has been interviewed numerous times on a local Honolulu TV station. As Past-President and Education Chairperson of the Hawaii Chapter of the Association of Infection Control Practitioners, Linda takes the opportunity to network with infection control practitioner worldwide. Her infection control experience includes both adult and pediatric infectious diseases. Remaining current in infection control is a priority of this firm. We communicate regularly with key individuals for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, GA., the State Health Department, and other infection control professionals worldwide, as well as attend mainland conferences to stay current with infection control diseases/practice changes.

Our mission is to design and implement infection control programs and/or provide lectures for our clients to meet the challenges of the 21st century. We provide an opportunity to improve the quality of care by efficiently preventing and managing infections. Our knowledge is based on prevention and control measures that are scientifically based to provide quality programs. Each client patient population is unique and responds differently to preventive and therapeutic interventions; infection control practices must be individualized for each client to achieve maximum benefits of our services.
